Reception
Robins, Raccoons and Whales Classes
(Reception for children aged 4 to 5)
Miss Foster, Mrs Holmes and Mrs Gillott and the team welcome you to Reception! We look forward to getting to know you and your child as they begin their learning journey at 'big school'. Moving into Reception is an exciting stage in your child's learning journey and our aim is to provide an enabling environment in which your child feels happy to explore and learn.
Applications for places in reception are made through Derbyshire County Council and the allocation of places is made by the local authority.
Please see our main EYFS page for further information on the curriculum and the EYFS statutory guidance we follow.

Raccoons
Mrs Holmes is the teacher in Raccoons and is supported by the teaching assistants, Miss Edwards and Mrs Jolly.

Whales
In the Whales class, Mrs Gillott is the teacher (she is also the Maths Leader and has completed the NPQML and NPQSL) and is supported by the teaching assistant, Miss Hallam.

We aim to support our children emotionally, socially and academically, to achieve the very best that they can.
We have an outdoor area which provides opportunities for large-scale play and for exploring nature. The children also regularly visit the Forest School area for lots of learning activities.

Visitors to school are always welcome and potential parents are invited to arrange to see the classrooms and meet the staff.
To send us anything you have been doing or any questions, please message us on the class dojo page. Your child also has a unique area and can upload any work or photos on here for the class teachers to see.
