The year 2 Science Club will give pupils the opportunity to explore and investigate everyday materials and their properties. Pupils will complete fun hands on activities that will inspire their interest in science. During sessions pupils will investigate how to change liquids into solids and decide which changes can be reversed. Pupils will design and make bridges and rockets from everyday materials.
They will evaluate how their designs can be improved by the changing materials used or the way they are constructed. Pupils will have the opportunity to observe how liquids and solids can sometimes react with each other change to create change, growing crystals and making lava for model volcanoes.
